History

After FRC Team 1114 Simbotics' successful sophmore season in 2004, they wanted to expand the values of FIRST across the Niagara Region. Thus, in 2005, FRC 1503 GM Spartonics was founded. We had a successful rookie season, winning a Rookie Inspiration Award and being tournament finalists at the Greater Toronto Regional.

In 2006, we had another successful season, winning three regional events. After this, we wanted to spread the word of F.I.R.S.T. and make this wonderful program available to all students in the Niagara Region. We did not have the resources available to start FRC teams at other schools, so we started FLL teams at local elementary schools.

The 2007 and 2008 seasons brought us great satisfaction, also. We built solid, competitive robots, earning silver at the Great Lakes Regional in 2007 and the Greater Toronto Regional in 2008. We expanded our FLL program outside of our feeder schools. We also opened up our team to students from other schools, allowing every single high school student in Niagara Falls to be involved with F.I.R.S.T.

2009 was again a successful year for our team. We built a relaiable, competitive robot once again. We continued to expand our FLL program, allowing more students in the Niagara area to be a part of the F.I.R.S.T. program.
